SPACE

WHAT IS SPACE: In room 4 we are working on space. We are learning about the moon, planets and supernovas and black holes. These are just some of the things in space. On Wednesday 13th next week we are going to the Begg Observatory in Dunedin.

Ice creams in Room 4

This is what we do every day at the start of maths time.  We have partners Nico's partners are Brooklyn and Jacob.  They test each others times tables and if they get them all right they get to make their ice cream.  They can get up to 12 scoops on their ice cream Logan.H has the most in the whole room 4 with a killing score of 6.

kapa haka

Hi Zac's back and I'm in kapa haka. The kapa haka group is proforming for the opening of the hub on the day of the ANZAC service. We are singing Untina.

At school...

Hi Annabel again and at school we do loads of fun things like  P.E. , music, clubs, and games,environment groups and loads of other things . We are so lucky because we  have really fabulous  teachers like Miss Clauge ,Miss Agnew,Mr Thorn,Mr Powell,Miss Holgate,Mrs parker,Mrs O'neil,Mrs Reid,Mrs Boyens,Mr Morgan and Miss King to be continued in part 2...

Year 5 camp part 3 :}

Hi Annabel again with year five camp to finish the confidence course at Tirahonga.   The confidence course is no ordinary course some parts involve obstacles involve hanging and some involve climbing and loads of other bits and pieces .

Hi Annabel here again to talk about camp and the other activities in camp in other parts. Anyway back to camp another activity i did was the confidence course with Miss Agnew.The confidence course is no ordinary course it's fun,challenging and and you push your way out of your comfort zone or push your way out of the square anyway enough chit chat back to camp and excitement.Look i have to go i'll see you in part 3 :} 

Kiwana!

Hello I'm Zac I'm in room 2. In kiwana everybody is  making a book to show room 11. In the last meeting Annabel,Grace, Isabel and kate made models about the water cycle. Hunter J ,Mikey Jack Yand I are making two books. My first book is about three DC caracters batman green lanturn and flash. Hunter J was flash Jack Y was green lanturn and Mikey was batman. I made that one by myself but I made a second one with Hunter J Jack Y and Mikey. Hunter is a gingerbread man. Jack is a robot. Mikey is Ralph off the simpsons and I am a lion off chima called Lavertus.

Year 5 camp!!!

HI it's Annabel and 5 weeks ago we went on a camp for year 5 and we did lots of fun activities like search and rescue were you had two adults to find and you had a walkie talkie person who reports clues and when the team finds the the walkie talkie person reports whats wrong and you have a medical man who has bandages and all.

Hi it is Max again. 5 weeks ago we had year 5 camp. l liked EVERYTHING. My favorite thing was spotlight MrThorn said to us we were out of bounds but he only said no over fences or where we make the  bivees.
It was awesome !!!!!!!

Writing

so far in room3 we have been doing descriptions on the big bad wolf. Lots of people have got lots of good descriptions but I think mine is super good.

Hi this is amity
In room 4 we do this thing called rocket wrighting and thats were you right about any thing.When I rocket wright I make up all these imaginary storys about gumballs.Most storys arnt funny but some are just tireying.We do rocket wrighting for ageis.

Kapa haka

Hi I'm Max I'm in room 2 on Wednesday people in kapa haka we did a two song called Te ao maram. and Utaina.

This is our fabulous library which  has a awesome seaweed display made of lots of materials.Mrs McGarry spent a long time making it. I think that Mrs McGarry is an amazing libarian.

Hi This is Jemma and I'm the editor for Room 3 for the senior syndicate blog. I'll be updating what goes on in Room 3 this year. Hope you enjoy the news I post.

The teacher is Mr Thorn and trust me he is a great teacher.

 ( I should know because I was in he room last year)

There are 28 pupils he has to take care of for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week!!! ( WOW!!!)

There are 14 year 5s and 14 year 6s and 14 girls and 14 boys

Swimming

For the last two weeks East Taieri School has been going to the Mosgiel Pool for swimming lessons. This gives the student an opportunity to practise their swimming skills or maybe even teach them to swim. We learnt all 4 strokes. ( Butterfly Backstroke Breaststroke and Freestyle )

I hope the school keeps doing this every year!!!
